These are smaller and more personal than the work elsewhere on this site: less polished, more exploratory, and not always pointed at research. Much of my recent digital work was done while employed, so I share here the concepts and what I learned, but not the implementations.
Loom is a local-first work tracker: one keystroke captures what is being worked on without pulling attention from the work itself. The local AI layer tested how far a small, deterministic model can carry summarisation without needing the cloud; while our local-first voice assistant was built on my own time to let my children decide what to listen, to get answers to their constant questions, and to introduce them to AI, without using a commercial model.
